Next Release will feature JKG running on an OpenJK base. There have been many core changes to the game code and the launcher has been overhauled massively.

Game:
  • New engine:
    • Running new executable, uses JA assets
    • Many core engine hacks removed, code is now roughly cross-platform.
    • Added new ^8 (orange) and ^9 (gray) color codes.
    • Removed restriction on the /devmap command.
    • Removed killtracker restrictions and some Nazi-ish restrictions on background programs
    • Removed all postprocessing/pixel effects (temporary)
    • Slightly noticeable performance boost
    • Numerous, NUMEROUS base bugs fixed
    • MAJOR improvement to tab-completion code in console. Slashes no longer required for most commands in the console. /devmap will now list all maps if you do not specify one, and likewise will list your options when entering in text.
  • Fixed bugs in JKG:
    • Fixed a bug where the player could reload while sprinting
    • Fixed a visual glitch where sighting in on the Heavy Disruptor Carbine or Bryar Rifle while they were charging would result in no scope mask showing
    • Fixed an issue where ADS (aiming down sights) while running would use running instead of walking animations.
    • Corrected an issue where melee would not work properly while in ADS (it now kicks!)
    • Corrected visual glitches with melee animations
    • Corrected visual glitches when sprinting over rough terrain
    • Corrected first person weapons clipping into the camera on occasion
    • Removed a few features from the PTR which were problematic/game breaking (holsters and internet radio, mostly
    • Corrected minor glitch where sabers would show firing mode text
    • Fixed major memory leak
    • Slight nerfing of vehicle code in preparation for major edits in that area
  • New Features:
    • A civilized weapon for a civilized age will make an appearance.
    • Added new jkg_startingGun cvar
    • Tweaked the bounty system from the PTR even further
    • Visual improvements to the first person weaponry. Look up/down, and you will notice a small change :)
    • Major changes to the admin code. Admin stuff is now 100% Lua based. Please see the appropriate documentation for more details.

Launcher:
- No more crashes/errors/royal fuck-ups (hopefully)
- New options:
....- Settings menu now has options to reset registry without screwing up game installation
....- Can now install a different package if you picked the wrong one
....- Can now create your own config from the launcher
....- Can specify launch options manually.
- New Bug Report menu (may not be released initially)
- URL for visiting site fixed
- News changed (slightly)

Ammo system might have to wait, I'm still not sure about that.

I think right now we're calling it something like Phase 1.49c. Dunno guess we'll have to decide that.

I can tell you the launcher version though since I make that! v.137

Awesome eez, our bug list just got significantly shorter. Can you check the ones I labeled confirm fix, I wasn't sure on those ones.

Crash when someone dies in lava: go ahead and clear this one. It doesn't exactly apply (push is only available through cheats so far as I know). I closed the issue on Github.

Melee using saber on run: no, and I have no idea what you're talking about with this bug.

The rest of the stuff looks like it isn't on that list. But there are issues on Github that aren't on this list either, as I recall.
